Golf courses in the Algarve are amongst the finest in Europe. They have a worldwide reputation and continue to challenge golfers of all abilities.

The entire coastline is served by 28 courses with more currently being planned and developed. In October 2006, 127,679 rounds of golf were played on them, representing a 13.2% increase on the previous year.

The Algarve also offers an excellent choice of practice and training facilities, from executive golf courses with teaching facilities throught to well established and highly accredited academies.

It is no accident that there are so many courses in such a concentrated area, with over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year.
